Aires de fiesta latina
Amy Randall, an English journalist, travels all around Latin America, from Mexico to Easter Island in Chile. She goes to Carnival in Humahuaca (Argentina) and Santiago (Cuba), plays drums on St John’s Eve in Barlovento (Venezuela), enjoys music and dancing at the Vallenato Legend Festival (Colombia), takes part in the Festival of the Sun (Peru), relives the legends of Moors and Christians in Boaco (Nicaragua), and celebrates the Day of the Dead on the shores of Lake Pátzcuaro (Mexico).
In Aires de fiesta latina, students are brought into contact with the life and culture of the people, their cuisine and their traditions through the writer’s own experiences. Each chapter includes explanatory notes with vocabulary and sociocultural references, as well as comprehension and expression activities to improve learners’ level of Spanish.
